The versatile Strip Freshener can be used in the spring or fall to freshen existing strips or create new strips in untilled soil. The Strip Freshener is also equipped to clear residue and precisely place fertilizer—all in one pass.
After a three-year study, the Yetter 2984 Strip Freshener (original model) earned the designation of PFR Proven. In both corn and soybeans, using the Strip Freshener in the spring resulted in a yield advantage of 2.6 bu./acre in corn and 2.2 bu./acre in soybeans. The study noted the success of the coulter vs. a shank for spring tillage, as well as the advantage achieved when the strip is allowed to warm and mellow before planting.
