Titan™ for John Deere Coulters Combines Easy
Adjustment and Floating Option |
The newest 2967-047 Titan™ Residue Manager from Yetter Manufacturing is designed to work in conjunction with John Deere unit-mounted no-till coulters.
“The 2967-047 integrates with John Deere coulters, and the result is a floating coulter/residue manager combination,” said Jason Chute, a Yetter territory manager.
The narrow design of this Titan is the key to achieving a complementary fit. The Titan unit attaches to the front of the John Deere coulter and clears residue before the coulter loosens the soil. |

The 2967-047 does not interfere with adjustments producers choose to make to their coulters. The design ensures optimum tillage from coulters as well as successful residue management.
However, the Titan does not require the presence of the coulter to manage residue effectively. “If growers find conditions call for the removal of the coulter, the Titan can also be used without the coulter hub and blade,” added Chute.
Whether operating with or without the coulter, the 2967-047 Titan from Yetter Manufacturing features a wide range of depth settings to match residue management power to field conditions. The Titan keeps residue between the rows where it still provides erosion protection but does not interfere with planting.
The 2967-047 Titan Residue Manager can be set to float over the soil surface. Or, pin the residue manager down for positive wheel traction, and the Titan powers through even the toughest residue without causing undesirable soil disturbance. To add further flexibility, the wheels may be set to operate with one wheel leading or with both wheels parallel.
The adjustment system on this new Titan model makes depth control easy. A readily accessible handle located on the left arm enables adjustment without tools, saving producers time and therefore money.
As with all Yetter residue managers, in addition to floater wheels, the 2967-047 Titan Residue Manager can utilize the company’s standard wheels, SharkTooth® Wheels, or heavy duty wheels. |
